Huge increase in PrEP uptake when services offer choice and flexibility, African studies show.

Laura Balzer and other statisticians conducted 3 randomized trials for persons with HIV risk in rural Kenya and Uganda. Our Dynamic Choice Prevention intervention - offering choice in product (oral PrEP or PEP), testing, and delivery location - signficantly improved use of PrEP and PEP.

For over a decade,  Laura has been the Statistician for the SEARCH consortium and Dr. Maya Petersen is a Co-PI.
