Nicholas (Nick) Williams is an incoming Ph.D. student in Biostatistics. He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2017 with a B.A. in Psychology and earned an M.P.H. in Biostatistics from Columbia University in 2019. Nick has previously worked as a Research Biostatistician in the Division of Biostatistics at Weill Cornell Medicine, a Senior Data Analyst in the Department of Epidemiology at Columbia University, and an independent statistical software consultant. His recent work has focused on developing state-of-the-art semiparametric statistical methods with applications to mental health and substance use epidemiology. Nick maintains several widely used R packages and teaches annual workshops on integrating his software into research.
